Starting in January, 2011 (hopefully!) the fourth graders at Sweeney will have a chance to participate in a Book Club. The club will be limited to 15 students, but I will rotate the club group after 3-4 weeks, so more kids can participate. I will choose the book, but don't worry...it will be a good one. :)
Two students in the book club will have the chance to read the book club choice via a Nook! Yes, indeed, I am purchasing two Nooks (e-reader) for student use at Sweeney Elementary. I can't wait to get my hands on this new tool and get kids excited about reading AND technology.
